Alesha grew up in Arlington, Texas, where her passion for justice and community service began to take shape.
She graduated from Texas Tech University, graduating summa cum laude in 2011with her BBA in Marketing.
Before Alesha began her law career, she spent several years in the software and non-profit sectors, focusing on Corporate Social Responsibility campaigns that consolidated large corporations’ giving and volunteering programs.
In 2020, Alesha earned my law degree from SMU Dedman School of Law.
During her time there, she was actively involved in the VanSickle Family Law Clinic, where she had the privilege of helping community members navigate the complexities of the family court system.
Alesha also participated in the San Diego Mock Trial competition, honing her litigation skills.

Additionally, Alesha served as a legal extern for the Honorable Judge Irma C.
Ramirez while she was a Magistrate Judge in the Northern District of Texas, gaining invaluable skills in legal research and writing.
After graduating, Alesha joined the Denton County District Attorney's Office as a Prosecutor, where she obtained extensive trial experience on a range of cases, from Driving While Intoxicated to Family Violence Assault.
