Chapter 46 of the Texas Penal Code defines charges and punishments for weapon related offenses.
“Components of Explosives”, as per § 46.09 of the Texas Penal Code, occurs when a person knowingly possesses components of an explosive weapon with the intent to combine the components into an explosive weapon for use in a criminal endeavor.
An offense under this section is a felony of the third degree.
